MOONHAULER is an arcade physics RPG and a distant spiritual successor to Lunar Lander. Build and fly a physically modeled cargo ship between the major Lunar outposts. Use profits from successful deliveries to improve your ship.

Quickstart:

Click the rocket buttons in the lower left (or press and hold the keys shown) to turn on and off rocket engines. Use the rocket engines to go in the direction of the blue arrow in the upper left. If it's your first time playing, try the TYCHO CITY DOCKS route.

NOTE: Due to overwhelming feedback, I've uploaded a version of the game where you can control the rockets with the keyboard. These controls weren't present in the version of the game that was submitted. Please take this into account if you are rating the game for the jam.

Flying Tips:

  • The blue wayfinder arrow will show you where to go.
  • To complete deliveries, land on launchpads or dock at stations.
  • Launch pads and station docking rings have blue lights to help you identify them.
  • You don't have to land exactly on the launch pad, just close.
  • To dock at a station, hit the docking ring with the command module of your ship slowly, with all engines off.
  • Press ESC to retry or skip a level.

Building Tips:

  • To make more money on runs, add more container forks to your ship.
  • To make the ship faster, add rocket engines.
  • To make flight time longer, add fuel tanks.
  • To not damage the ship while landing, add landing gear.
  • Experiment with module configurations to understand how they affect flight behavior.
